To kick off the new year of our regular ministry schedule, our church held a Ministry Fair. This was new for us, and it worked extremely well.
In essence, we held a miniature Ministry Conference. All of the ministries in our church, Sunday School, Youth, Adult Discipleship, Christian Mandalas, Quilting, etc., each had a table. Each ministry also had a representative with a mission statement along with collateral. Typically the collateral included a description of the ministry, a small brochure, and sign-up sheets as needed.
The fair went for 30 minutes before and after the church service.
It just worked. People were informed. People were inspired. I talked to people I didn’t know belonged to our church.
Finally, it was a pretty good time.
I would love to hear about things that worked for your church.
