It’s not my fault

My wife anSoCAd I were parked in our Prius with a clear path to an exit out of the parking lot.  As we started forward, another driver backed into us.  He was waiting for a parking spot to open up, and probably didn’t check his rear view mirror prior to backing.

He didn’t hit us very hard.  His vehicle was undamaged.  Our repair estimate came in at over $1,000.

It is a few days later now.  I’ve invested about five hours in insurance work, and estimates.  I’m covered by my insurance, but still out of pocket for the deductible.  I haven’t done anything wrong, and yet I’m on the losing end of this deal.  The other driver, who was rather nice, only has to report what happened to his insurance company.

He was at fault, and yet I am bearing the time penalty, the cost penalty, and the four days that my car will be in the shop.

And then it hits me.

Jesus wasn’t at fault either.
